Lots of people ask award-winning artist Lisa Pavelka, “How do I get stuck polymer clay out of my texture stamps?” She has some tips for getting polyclay out of stamps in this quick Fire Mountain Fix tutorial.

Instructions

Start by using a piece of scrap clay and "pounce" or pad the stamp to lift the clay pieces out.

For more stubborn pieces of clay that are stuck, place the silicone or rubber stamp into the oven for approximately 10 minutes. Flex the stamp back and forth to pop the pieces out, or use a needle tool or craft knife to assist in removing stuck pieces of clay.

Note: Only place the texture stamp or mold into the oven if it is an oven safe material.

To avoid clay becoming stuck in future projects, spray the texture stamp or mold with a releasing agent such as automotive cleaner, or dust the clay with corn starch before pressing into the stamp. This will keep the clay from sticking to the surface of the stamp or mold.
