  • Seed beads, Toho, matte purple, size 11/0 (K)
  • Seed beads, Toho, glossy purple, size 15/0 (L)
  • Seed beads, Toho, milky, size 15/0 (M)

  • Cabochon, charoite 27x37mm (B)
  • Cabochon, lepidolite 35x45mm (A)

STEP 1
Glue A, B to fabric for under backing. Let the glue dry.
STEP 2
Work the First Row of Seed Beads Around the Cabochons

Work the basic row in H around A (fig.1). Then bead the bezel in circular peyote stitch (fig.2). The number of the rows depends on the thickness of your cabochon. There are 4 rows in H, 2 rows in L in the original design. Go through the last row for several times, pulling tightly on the thread.

Trim away all the excess fabric as close to the edge seed beads as possible. Glue leather to the back side. Let the glue dry and trim away all the excess leather. Work the basic edge row in L. Embroider the edge of the cabochon, using L, G (see the photograph, fig.4). Work some loops in K for handing of the pendant.
STEP 4
Bead around B in the same way. But work the basic row in L. And bead 5 rows in L, one row in N for the bezel (fig.2). Work the basic edger row in H (fig.3). Embroider in the same way.
STEP 5
Sew D to fabric through the hole in the bezel. Sew E around crystal, altering to K (fig.1). Trim away the fabric as close to the edge beads as possible. Glue leather to the back side. Work the basic edge row in H (fig.5).

Beading around C. Take 1.5m length of thread and pick up 36 I, slide them to the middle of the thread, close them into a ring and go through all the beads one more time. Work the bezel in circular peyote stitch for I, L (fig.6). Go through the last row for several times, pulling tightly the thread. Tie of the thread tail, but do not cut off.
STEP 7
Pick up the loose thread tail. Work two rows in I, insert the rivoli top side down and continue your work, using L (fig.7). Run through the last row more than once and pull the thread taut.

Work small petals. Take the first end of the thread and bead in J, M (fig.8). Bring the thread to any seed bead of the basic row, marked on figure 6.

Work middle petals on seed beads of the basic row, marked on figure 6, using J, M (fig.9).
STEP 10
Work the large petal on the beads of the first row of figure 7 (fig.10).
STEP 11
Connect all the elements together, using the photograph as a guide.
STEP 12
Pick up F, G, alternating to H, K onto the jewelry wire. Attach a clasp.
