Meet the Designer-Artist

Where do you live?
Waldport, Oregon

What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Beading was my primary focus for years. I still love my beading projects, but polymer and air dry clay have become a passion for me also. I purchased polymer cane earrings at a local craft show and was fascinated by the creative process! Since that time, I have been fortunate to attend workshops given by Christie Friesen (San Juan Island) and Sara Shriver (Portland Expo). They both inspired and taught me so much! I also work, learn and teach with our local polymer clay diva, Jeanne Kroeger, In Dreams Studio, who encourages me at every turn. My work can be seen at the Artist Studio Association Gallery in Lincoln City, Oregon.

What medium do you work with mostly?
Polymer and air dry clay and seed and crystal beads.

Why did you become enchanted with this style of jewelry-making?
''Who knows what lies in the hearts of man'' (or lady!)

Where and How do you sell your jewelry?
Artist Studio Association Gallery, Lincoln City, Oregon

What inspired this design?
Living on the wonderful Central Oregon Coast.

How did it come together?
Working with a new technique, so only part of the design was preplanned--the rest ''just happens.''
