Metamorphosis
Meet the Designer-Artist

Gulten Dye was born and raised in Turkey, spending her free time drinking up the colors, shapes and scents of the Grand Bazaar and fashion houses and boutiques of Istanbul. Her sense of fashion firmly planted, she further cultivated her artistic sense through her travels around the world, learning the character and nuance of a wide variety of precious and semi-precious stones.

Share Your Background

She moved to the United States in 1987. As a nurse, Gulten quickly achieved the rank of Charge Nurse for a large hospital. Her background in nursing tapped into her sense of precision, which now translates into quality pieces of jewelry. Her innate sense for which tools and techniques produce the soundest results speaks to the integrity of her pieces. She possesses a unique combination of skills, creating a strong balance between left-brain quality and right-brain creative inspiration.

Gulten has been honored to work with celebrity clients and her jewelry designs have been featured on television and in magazines. Her dazzling jewelry set featuring clever combinations of crystal graces the cover of the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads 2012-2013 Comprehensive Catalog. Gulten sells her dynamic jewelry lines to cruise ship lines and stores such as Costco.

Beading Success

While she is flattered that women choose her pieces when they could choose anything, she believes that jewelry transcends economic lines. It ties us with our common virtues and the beauty that we share as women. Gulten believes that jewelry carries an uplifting note in our lives, like flowers, poetry and song. Stones that may take billions of years to create are transformed through her eyes and hands into a beautiful piece of art for a woman's body. "I take what Mother Nature generously created and shape it to complement her most beautiful creation of all: woman."
